Austin’s ‘emergent’ Christians finding a new path

I met Mark at a recent gathering in West Virginia. Mark is the pastor of Missio Dei a new monastic community in Minneapolis. We had very good conversations about new monasticism, emergent village, the emerging church, alternative creativity and the need for the church to create new models of life and to be enclave from the future. What struck me about him, beside our common anti-authoritarian spirit based on our Christian Faith, was his humility and his open heart. Plus he taught me the trick of adding orange slices into Blue Moon beer.
