Seattle’s Salon of Shame

February 28th, 2007  |  by Eliacin  |  published in Art, Seattle, Washington, northwest, spoken word

Seattle’s Salon of Shame

It’s cathartic for readers and hilarious for listeners. Everybody wins when it comes to embarrassment!

I will draw all

February 27th, 2007  |  by Eliacin  |  published in Gospel, Prayer, Religion, Social Justice, Spirituality, inclusivity, interfaith, sexuality

Giving up Lent for Lent, by Diana Butler-Bass
A few years ago, I stopped struggling with my bad attitude toward Lent. I gave up Lent for Lent. I skipped Ash Wednesday, made no promises to God, and instituted no rigorous prayer schedule. I wanted to enjoy one March with no onerous spiritual obligations. An odd thing happened, [...]
